This gorgeous image is the result of James’ four months at sea. While the traditional arcs of the sun are distorted by the motion of both the sea and the ship itself travelling; there is still a definite direction to them. While mostly travelling from horizon to sky the horizontal ‘interruptions’ are great.
They make me think of an electrocardiogram; the sun beating across the sky like the rhythm of a heart.
